I am an attorney admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey; my office is in Philadelphia. Most of my time nowadays is spent on appellate matters (both civil and criminal) and on criminal trial work. Since 1991, I have represented clients in a wide variety of matters: bankruptcy (although since the October 2005 amendments I have not represented consumer debtors; I am still available to consult about creditors' rights or business debtors), zoning (including helping residents stop developments or limit them to what was allowed), trademark and licensing enforcement (including obtaining injunctive relief), and insurance bad faith (including where an insurer refused to defend an employee [who was entitled to a defense under an insurance policy] and that insurer was later forced to pay that employee's legal fees and more).
I have represented clients in front of juries, as well as before three-judge, seven-justice, and nine-judge panels of the appellate courts, including the supreme court of Pennsylvania, the court of appeals for the third circuit in the federal system, and the superior and commonwealth courts in Pennsylvania.
